Powertrain Mounting Products
Powertrain Mount reduces the noise and vibration from the engine to provide quiet and comfortable driving experience. Powertrain mounts require technical expertise in not only the high-quality rubber material but also steel, aluminum, engineering plastic, NVH design and analysis. Daeheung R&T can provide different solutions such as Hydro type, Switchable type and Active type to our customers depending on their needs. Daeheung R&T currently supplies to global companies including Hyundai, Audi and Volkswagen. Our products are recognized for its' excellent anti-vibration performance and durability in various environments.
EV Mounting Products
Vehicle development paradigm has shifted to environment friendly, self driving and shared vehicles. And new electric vehicle start ups emerged to compete with existing global OEMs in the EV market. Throughout the years, Daeheung R&T has been researching suitable rubber materials and product design technologies specifically for electric vehicles. Daeheung R&T is the first in the business to implement the high frequency elastomer tester(3,000Hz) required for evaluating anti-vibration performance for electric vehicles. Daeheung R&T develops and supplies electric vehicle anti-vibration components to Tesla, Hyundai, Audi, GM, Rivian and Lucid.
Chassis Products
Anti-vibration rubber for chassis is a subcomponent for suspension arm or cradle that reduces impact and noise from the road while driving. Daeheung R&T developed various types of rubber materials over the years and cumulated vehicle system analysis / product structure design expertise to produce various types of products such as Hydro type. We provide fast and precise solutions to our customers based on their requirements. Daeheung R&T currently has over 60% market share in Korea for chassis products and supplies to global OEMs such as GM and Tesla.
High Pressure Hoses
Hydraulic hoses used in vehicle's brake and steering systems allow high pressure fluid to travel based on the driver's intention. Due to its critical role in passenger safety, it is classified as 'regulated safety components.’ Therefore, high pressure hoses must be outstanding in flex resistance, fatigue resistance, low expansion, thermal resistance and high durability. Daeheung R&T was the first to introduce low expansion high pressure hose to Korea in 2004 and has demonstrated excellent reliability and performance. No brake hose defects occurred to this date. World patented projection welding method is used for hose fitting production and Daeheung R&T utilizes hose layout simulation analysis program to design the most optimal shape of the hose to satisfy our customer's QCD.
MCU Products
Daeheung R&T's MCU(Micro Cellular Urethane) material has excellent dynamic durability, low compressive strain rate, high flexibility in low temperature and light weight characteristics. MCU especially excels in absorbing impact and reducing high frequency NVH. MCU materials are often used in Insulator of the Strut Mount, Jounce Bumper of the Shock Absorber and Pad of the Suspension Spring. Research for replacing anti-vibration rubber with MCU material is being conducted to reduce the component weight and improve NVH for electric vehicles. Daeheung R&T supplies MCU products to global OEMs such as GM, Toyota and Tesla. There hasn't been any field defects occurred to this date and Daeheung R&T thoroughly manages every step from receiving materials to shipping finished products to our customers.
Dynamic Dampers
Automakers try to provide quiet and comfortable driving experience to drivers in different driving conditions(uneven roads, temperature differences, driving patterns... etc). However, when some parts or structures reach certain status(examples: speed, temperature) they produce resonance and causes uncomfortable vibration and noise that can disturb the driver. Dynamic Dampers are the best solution that can effectively solve NVH problems caused by resonance with low cost and short amount of time. Daeheung R&T developed high damping rubber materials specifically for dynamic dampers that are less reliant on temperature and can be effective in wide frequency range. With our accumulated experience, we are able to go from prototypes to mass production in shorter time frame than our competitors. Daeheung R&T supplies more than 10 million dynamic dampers per year to customers around the world and has helped to improve NVH for various vehicles.
Advanced Products
Anti vibration components play an important role in vehicle's NVH and R&H performance. And to meet environment regulation requirements, reducing the weight of auto parts has become an important factor when designing products. It is difficult to satisfy NVH, R&H and weight loss all at the same time so there needs to be some compromise. Technologies owned by Daeheung R&T such as electronic active control, double injection and weight reduction expertise offers the best solution to these problems.
